http://www.perdue2008.com/ up and running? Well yes and no. I was just messing around after my story was done and typed in the address and it took me directly to the official Lieutenant Governor's website. I thought that would be a little interesting if perdue2008 was registered to her campaign or someone on it.

So we looked it up and the website is owned by a man named Nathan Tabor from Kernersville. It says he owned it since May 2005 and owns it until May 2008.

What's interesting is Perdue is a Democrat and Tabor is a consevative political activist who ran for Congress at one time.

I'm working to call him to see what the deal is but kind of interesting! Is he looking to make a buck and sell the site?

UPDATE: I talked to Tabor and he says he does own it. He says he owns 2000 sites and many include Republicans and Democrats. It's part of his business ACT Media. He basically buys up the sites and offers them back at a price. He compared it to land development. He also says he does all sorts of of consulting as part of his firm.

Please Tim, let’s not be so timid.

Calling Nathan Tabor a conservative activist is like calling the D.C. Madame a social worker. Tabor is a Republican political consultant whose clients include Duncan “I love the Pentagon” Hunter, a congressional has been and now presidential long shot.

What Tabor is doing is called cybersquatting, the registering, trafficking in, or using a domain name with bad-faith intent to profit from the goodwill of a trademark (or name) belonging to someone else. The cybersquatter then offers to sell the domain to the person or company who owns a trademark contained within the name at an inflated price.

So, in addition to shameless self-promotion, Tabor can now add this to his growing resume of weasel-like activities. (Tabor’s self-written bio touts himself as a “young Jesse Helms” and claims Dick Armey, Ed Meese, Pat Robertson, and Bob Jones III as supporters)

It would be interesting to see if any NC GOP gubernatorial candidates are paying Tabor. And shame on the Perdue campaign for not scooping up Bev’s obvious domain names long ago. Tabor bought the domain in 2005; someone in the Perdue camp was asleep at the wheel.

Miss,

Nathan Tabor is working for Sen. Fred Smith. Those two deserve each other...

Yes, he is cybersquatting and only lowlifes do that now. Typical Nathan...
